The RBA Initiative Board Announce the appointment of an acting CEO, Baritazar.K. Stanley

The RBA Initiative board today(June 1,2022) has appointed Baritazar Stanley as acting CEO, effective July 1, 2022.

His appointment follows the departure of the current CEO, Erick Venant, who will be on leave to pursue further studies.

For the past three years, Baritazar worked as a project coordinator for the RBA Initiative, where he successfully organized AMR project activities, including those engaging the community, school children, research as well as improving WASH infrastructures, working with both national and international partners. 

Baritazar, a pharmacist by training, has participated in the development of sub-national One Health (OH) AMR coordinating teams in Tanzania, as well as serving as a resource person for the Ministry of Health in the development of AMR IEC/BCC materials. In addition to working as an AMR program consultant, he has shared his knowledge and experience in the fight against AMR at several international forums. 

He brings a wealth of operational and management expertise.
