The program aims to raise awareness about antimicrobial resistance in Tanzania. This is delivered through behavioural change initiatives, supported by a sophisticated approach to local radio and community engagement, and through educational workshops designed to increase awareness of antimicrobial resistance and the everyday actions people can take to reduce its spread. The program engages community members, healthcare professionals, healthcare students, and policymakers. All sessions are adapted for different audiences.
Through this program, the RBA Initiative has so far reached over 5 million people across Tanzania through local radio campaigns and has engaged with over 4323 people through tailored workshops and classroom teaching.
