CONTAINING AMR THROUGH IMPROVING WASH INFRASTRUCTURES IN SCHOOLS - DODOMA, TANZANIA

Hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways of reducing the spread of resistant organisms. The RBA Initiative is teaching schoolchildren about good hand hygiene practices, so improving the hand washing infrastructures are important and critical practical support to further encourage positive behavioral change regarding hand hygiene practices.

The RBA Initiative uses AMR Arts and Crafts competition as an opportunity to improve WASH infrastructure by handing over a new washing station and water tank to the overall winner of the competition. However, the RBA Initiative is determined to improve the WASH infrastructures by building and installing handwashing stations to all participating schools of the RBA Initiative AMR Clubs project. Hence becoming a practical support for the schoolchildren to learn and practice proper and safe hand hygiene and sanitation.
